Manufacturing Project Leader

The Manufacturing Project Leader is responsible for overseeing all of M&D's projects internally and externally and for creating, updating and the timely completion of numerous simultaneous manufacturing projects in coordination with manufacturing facilities and their project managers. The Manufacturing Project Leader will be the primary reviewer of price quotations for projects and responsible to maintain projects within budgets making go/no-go decisions on critical path tasks. This position is also responsible for setting up, running and rescheduling recurring conference calls with numerous manufacturing partners and internal project meetings with M&D management . 

Ø Create project timelines and budgets for assigned M&D projects using MS Project and MS Excel

Ø Run biweekly meetings with M&D management to discuss current projects, present updated timelines for each project and critical paths, capture decisions made during the meeting, updates timelines and Project Status Report and comunicate changes to critical path owners

Ø Set up and facilitate recurring project conference calls with manufacturing partners to discuss projects at that site, synchronizes project timelines with that sites Project Manager/Leader and agreement on critical path items

Ø Actively pursue critical task owners internally and or externally to ensure tasks are completed on time or finds other resources to get it done on time

Ø Update project timelines and budgets regularly based upon conference calls and informs M&D management of changes or potential problems

Ø Determine critical path tasks and communicate them to responsible individuals, departments or manufacturing partners; follows up as necessary until completed

Ø Reschedule project conference calls when conflicts occur, communicate changes to all team members and the project manager at the manufacturing partners facility

Ø Request documentation from manufacturing partners for FDA supplements, filings or submissions; coordinate M&D review of documents and provide them to Regulatory Affairs department

Ø Participate in special projects and tasks as assigned by the Director, Quality Assurance & Technical Services

 

Requirements:

 

Ø 3-4 years experience in a pharmaceutical or consumer products manufacturing department, interacting with contractors, working on numerous projects or product launches

Ø Bachelor degree in a related field is preferred

Ø MS Project Training Certificate Levels 1 & 2 (16 hours) preferred 

Ø Demonstrated PC proficiency including MS Project and Excel

Ø 1 year project management experience (pharmaceutical or related industry preferred)
