RW Garage Supervisor

Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain the highest possible standards of quality and productivity, with emphasis on continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with other departments
- Collaborate with operating, planning, and reliability centered maintenance groups
- Collaborate with outside resources in support of internal maintenance activities
- Manage project work as required
- Mentor and coach employees
- Manage the training and development of apprentices
- Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal regulations
- Participate on teams and special projects as necessary
- This position supervises in excess of 25 employees

Minimum Requirements:

- Demonstrated commitment to working safely
- Excellent personal safety record
- Strong organization and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills to include familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, MIMS, and People Soft
- No active counseling
- Prior supervisory or maintenance craft experience
- Strong background in maintenance/repairs of light, medium, and heavy duty equipment to include hydraulic repairs and troubleshooting skills.
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by advanced leadership training or education up to or including a Bachelor's degree in a closely related area
- Five years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience
